Machine Guard Fencing Resists Ivory Coast’s Rainy Season to Protect Cement Plant Equipment
2026-04-28
The Bouaké Cement Plant uses dust-proof machine guard fencing to enclose its ball mills; the mesh is easy to clean. Accidents caused by accidental contact with equipment due to dust have fallen from three per month to zero, whilst grinding efficiency has increased by 15%. An engineer commented: “The mesh does not rust during the rainy season and reduces maintenance costs by 80% compared to canvas covers. Workers can observe the grinding process through the mesh, resulting in a daily increase in cement production of 50 tonnes and an annual increase in revenue of 10 million CFA francs.”
