Machine Guard Fencing Resistant to Chemical Corrosion in Ivory Coast’s Rubber Industry
2026-04-21
At the Gagnoa Rubber Factory, acid- and alkali-resistant machine guard fencing is used to enclose vulcanising machines; the mesh is resistant to corrosion from rubber additives. Accidents involving chemical contact have fallen from six per year to zero, meeting Ivory Coast’s chemical safety standards. A safety officer stated: “The netting serves both as a barrier and a warning; workers can identify hazardous areas at a glance, reducing training costs by 30%. There is no rusting during the rainy season, maintenance efficiency has increased by 50%, and annual losses have been reduced by 8 million CFA francs.”
