Machine Guarding Fence Net Protects Belgian Chocolate Factory from Contamination
2026-03-11
The Liège chocolate factory uses food-grade machine guarding fence nets to isolate grinders. The smooth surface of the net is easy to disinfect and complies with EU 10/2011 standards. Cocoa butter contamination-related batch scrap rates have decreased from 5% to 0.5%, and daily rinsing achieves cleanliness, saving 70% of cleaning time compared to iron barriers. The plant manager commented: “Workers no longer come into contact with rotating parts, resulting in a 90% reduction in workplace injuries, a 20% increase in grinding efficiency, and annual cost savings exceeding 80,000 euros, making it suitable for chocolate production under sterile conditions.”
